Use a scheduled task in ChatGPT to run a Factbird analysis automatically. For example, get a daily digest of yesterday's OEE and top stop causes every morning.
Plans: Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu. Scheduled tasks can use the Factbird app if your workspace admin installed it, or if you added it yourself on a Plus or Pro plan.
Before you start: Connect the Factbird MCP app to ChatGPT. See Install the Factbird MCP in ChatGPT (business subscriptions) or Install the Factbird MCP in ChatGPT (personal subscriptions).
Schedule a task
At the time of writing, you ask for a scheduled task in ChatGPT, in either Chat or Work mode:
- Open ChatGPT Desktop. Use Chat or Work.
-
Type a request that says what to do and when. For example:
Every weekday at 07:00 Europe/Copenhagen time, use the Factbird app to get yesterday's OEE, downtime and top 5 stop causes for all lines. Send me a short summary.
- ChatGPT sets up the scheduled task. Review it and confirm.
- To see, edit or pause your tasks, open the Scheduled page.
Tip 1: Give a time zone in the prompt, so that your agent doesn’t guess a time zone and daily totals line up the way you expect.
Tip 2: Agents become more powerful when they can use more data and tools. For example:
• Connect email or chat apps so that your agent can send the digest to your stakeholders.
• Connect your other production systems, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) systems. Your agent can then answer questions that need data from both Factbird and those systems.
