SUMMARY
Use this guide to create a Control Recipe that automatically prompts operators to perform process checks during production. Control Recipes help standardize recurring quality checks and ensure important production activities are completed consistently.
WHEN TO USE THIS
Use this guide if:
- You want to create a new Control Recipe.
- You want to automate recurring process checks.
- You want operators to complete scheduled quality inspections.
Note: This is a legacy process and we recommend looking at setting up activities for a more streamlined experience.
PREREQUISITES
Before starting:
- You have permission to manage Control Recipes.
- You have access to the Administration page.
- You know which process checks you want operators to perform.
STEPS
- Open the production line in question.
- Navigate to Batches.
- Click the plus button in the bottom right and select Manage control recipes.
- Enter a name and description for the recipe.

Add one or more controls to the recipe.
For each control:
- Select when the control should be triggered.
- Configure the trigger conditions.
- Add the required tasks.
- Configure any limits or validation rules.
- Repeat until all required controls have been added.
- Save the Control Recipe.
EXPECTED RESULT
After completing these steps:
- The Control Recipe is available for use.
- Controls are automatically triggered according to their configured schedule or production event.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Issue: A control is not appearing.
Try: Verify the trigger conditions.
Try: Confirm the recipe is assigned correctly.
Issue: Operators cannot complete the control.
Try: Check that all required task fields have been configured.
