How to enable e-signature on your Factbird user account

SUMMARY

Use this guide to enable e-signature on your Factbird user account. Once enabled, you can securely sign activities using your user account and PIN instead of an operator profile.

 

 

WHEN TO USE THIS

  • Use this guide if:
    • You want to sign activities using your Factbird user account.
    • You need to enable e-signature for secure activity sign-off.

PREREQUISITES

  • Before starting:
    • You are logged in to your Factbird user account.
    • Your account has permission to use e-signatures.

STEPS

  1. Click your user icon in the upper-right corner of the Factbird interface.
  2. Open the Profile tab.
  3. Click Set Up E-signature.
  4. Review the terms and click Next.
  5. Create your e-signature PIN.
  6. Confirm the setup by clicking Done.

EXPECTED RESULT

  • After completing these steps:
    • E-signature is enabled on your Factbird user account.
    • You can sign activities using your user account and PIN.
    • Your user account becomes the only available identity for e-signature while you are logged in.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Issue: Operator profiles are no longer available for sign-off.

  • Try: Verify that e-signature has been enabled on your user account. This is expected behaviour.
  • Try: Sign activities using your Factbird user account instead of an operator profile.

Issue: You need to update your PIN.

  • Try: Open your Profile settings to change your e-signature PIN.
  • Try: Use the same menu to deactivate e-signature if required.
