How to manage workers in an Andon schedule

SUMMARY

Use this guide to assign workers to Andon shifts and manage their availability for receiving Andon calls. Updating worker availability ensures notifications are sent only to the appropriate maintenance or support personnel.

WHEN TO USE THIS

  • Use this guide if:
    • You need to add workers to an Andon shift.

PREREQUISITES

  • Before starting:
    • An Andon schedule must already exist.
    • The workers you want to assign must already be configured in the system.
    • You must have permission to manage Andon schedules.

  2. Select the schedule you want to manage.
  3. Click the View icon to open the schedule.

  5. Select the shift you want to update.
  6. Review the list of workers currently assigned to the shift.
  7. Update the worker's availability:
    • Not Attending – The worker is unavailable and will not receive Andon notifications.
    • Attend Temporarily – The worker is available for the selected shift only.
    • Attend Permanently – The worker is available for future occurrences of the same recurring shift pattern.
  8. Save your changes.
  9. Verify the updated worker assignments in either the Calendar view or the Week Table view.

EXPECTED RESULT

  • After completing these steps:
    • The selected workers are assigned to the shift.
    • Worker availability is updated according to the selected attendance status.
    • Available workers can receive notifications and take Andon calls during their assigned shifts.
    • Temporary attendance applies only to the selected shift.
    • Permanent attendance applies to future occurrences of the same recurring shift pattern until changed.
