SUMMARY
Use this guide to create a virtual device in the system so you can configure manual process lines or other virtual data inputs.
WHEN TO USE THIS
- Use this guide if:
- You need a virtual device for manual data collection
- No virtual device currently exists in your system
PREREQUISITES
- Before starting:
- Super user or admin access to the platform
- Access to the Administration page
STEPS
- Go to Administration.
- Click on Devices.
- In the top right corner, click + Device.
- Select Virtual Device from the options.
- Review the information shown in the dialog.
- Click Create Device.
EXPECTED RESULT
- After completing these steps:
- A new virtual device is created
- The device is available for configuration and use
TROUBLESHOOTING
- Issue: Cannot access Administration page
- Try: Confirm you have super user permissions
- Try: Contact your system administrator
- Issue: “Virtual Device” option not visible
- Try: Refresh the page
- Try: Verify your access level includes device creation
