SUMMARY
Use this guide to add sensors on a device by setting up ports, naming sensors, and assigning them to groups.
WHEN TO USE THIS

Use this guide if:
You are setting up a new device
You need to configure or update sensors on an existing device
PREREQUISITES

Before starting:
The device is claimed in the system
You have access to the Set up sensor dialog
If you are adding a sensor right after claiming a device, skip to step 5
STEPS
Go to Administration → Devices.
Select the claimed device from the list.
Open the Set up sensor dialog from the device page.
Configure the ports you plan to use
For each sensor:
Enter a name
(Optional) Add a description
Assign each sensor to the appropriate groups.
Click Save to store the configuration.
EXPECTED RESULT

After completing these steps:
Sensors are configured on the device
Sensors are assigned to the correct groups
The configuration is saved and active
TROUBLESHOOTING

Issue: Cannot open Set up sensor dialog
Try: Confirm the device is claimed
Try: Refresh the page

Issue: Sensors are not saved
Try: Ensure all required fields are completed
Try: Click Save again and check for validation errors
