SUMMARY
Use this guide to add a new sensor to a production line by creating it on a device and assigning it in Line Settings.
WHEN TO USE THIS

Use this guide if:
You have installed a new sensor and need it visible on a line
You want to assign a main or secondary sensor to a production line
PREREQUISITES

Before starting:
The sensor is physically connected to a device
You have access to the Administration panel
STEPS
Open the Administration panel
Go to the Devices tab
Select the device connected to the new sensor
Click Add sensor
Select the correct port and complete the sensor details
Go to Lines overview
Open Line Settings for the relevant line
Select the sensor as:
Main (bottleneck) sensor in Box 1

Optional secondary sensor(s) in Box 2
Save changes
EXPECTED RESULT

After completing these steps:
The sensor is available and assigned to the selected line
The main sensor tracks production cycles
Secondary sensors provide additional data
TROUBLESHOOTING
Issue: Sensor does not appear in Line Settings
Try: Confirm the sensor is created on the correct device
Try: Refresh the page or reopen Line Settings
Issue: No data from sensor
Try: Verify the correct port was selected during setup
