Multi-Line View

SUMMARY

Use Multi-Line View to monitor and manage multiple production lines from a single interface. It provides operators with a consolidated overview of line status, production activities, and batch information, helping them quickly identify and respond to issues across several lines.

WHAT THIS IS

Multi-Line View is an extension of Operator View that allows users to manage multiple production lines from a single screen. Instead of switching between individual line views, operators can monitor the status of several lines simultaneously and quickly navigate to the line that requires attention.

The view presents live production information for each selected line, making it easier to identify stopped lines, outstanding activities, and active batches while maintaining visibility across the production area.

WHY IT MATTERS

Managing multiple production lines individually can make it difficult to identify which line requires attention first.

Multi-Line View helps operators:

  • Monitor several production lines from one screen.
  • Quickly identify stopped or affected lines.
  • Reduce time spent switching between individual line views.
  • Respond more quickly to production issues.
  • Maintain awareness of production activities across multiple lines.

WHEN YOU WOULD USE THIS

Use this when:

  • Monitoring multiple production lines.
  • Managing several lines from a single workstation.
  • Supervising production across a production area.
  • Identifying which line requires immediate attention.
  • Switching between line-level production views efficiently.

HOW IT WORKS

Multi-Line View uses the organizational groups configured in Factbird to present multiple production lines within a single workspace.

After selecting a production group, Factbird displays the current status of each line, allowing operators to see which lines are running normally and which require attention.

From the same interface, operators can:

  • Monitor the operational status of multiple lines.
  • Register stop causes for stopped lines.
  • View and complete pending activities.
  • Monitor and manage batch information.
  • Navigate directly to an individual line for more detailed analysis.

Each line continues to maintain its own production data and history. Multi-Line View simply provides a centralized way of monitoring and interacting with multiple lines without repeatedly changing between individual line pages.

KEY TERMS / COMPONENTS

Multi-Line View

  • An Operator View feature that displays multiple production lines within a single interface.

Production Group

  • A collection of production lines displayed together within Multi-Line View.

COMMON MISUNDERSTANDINGS

  • Multi-Line View is designed for operational monitoring and management. Detailed production analysis remains available within the individual line views.
  • Selecting a production group changes which lines are displayed but does not change how production data is recorded or calculated.
