This new view allows operators to monitor and manage multiple production lines from a single screen.
Instead of moving between tabs or switching lines one by one, you can now:
- See all relevant lines in one unified view
- Quickly identify which line needs attention
- Access each line’s Operator View with a single click
- Reduce reaction time and improve data consistency
Selecting a parent node in the hierarchy (will automatically display all lines inside that node.
Navigating Between Single and Multi-Line View
When you are inside the Operator View of a specific line, you will always see a breadcrumb at the top left of the page:
Example:
Filling Line / 3. Uptime Demo Line
This breadcrumb tells you exactly where you are:
- Filling Line → the parent node or group
- 1. Factbird Live Demo → the specific line you are currently viewing
Switching to Multi-Line View
You can return to the multi-line overview instantly in two ways:
Option A: Click the parent node
- Click “Filling Line” in the breadcrumb.
This opens the Multi-Line Operator View and shows all lines inside the Filling Line group.
Option B: Use the hierarchy dropdown
- Open the dropdown next to the breadcrumb.
- You will see all lines inside the same group:
- Factbird Live Demo
- Manual Process Line
- Uptime Demo Line
Clicking “Filling Line” in the dropdown also brings you back to the multi-line view.
Understanding the Multi-Line Tiles
When you enter the Multi-Line Operator View, each line inside the selected group appears as an individual tile.
These tiles give operators a quick, high-level overview of what’s happening across all lines.
Each tile uses clear colors and key information to help operators immediately see which lines need attention.
Line status
Tile colors follow stop types and run state with a more vibrant shade:
Green = Running
The line is currently operating and producing normally.
Red = Loss During Operation
Highlights unplanned stops during production, such as sudden failures, jams, or unexpected issues.
Blue = No Activity at Line
Represents times when the line is not scheduled to run, such as weekends, holidays, non-manned hours, or extra-ordinary non-production days.
Yellow = Batch Specific Non-Operation
Shows stops related to batch transitions, such as changeovers or cleaning between batches.
Gray = Non-Production Activities
Indicates planned activities unrelated to running the line, such as meetings, training, validation, or planned maintenance.
Unregistered Stops
How unregistered stops are displayed
On each line tile, you may see:
All stops registered
- No action needed.
"X" Unregistered stops
- One or more stops on this line still require registration.
- The number displayed tells you exactly how many stops are pending.
How to register stops from the Multi-Line View
1. Find the line with pending stops and click the tile
This opens the Stop Registration View for that specific line.
2. Select the unregistered stop(s)
Highlight one or multiple stops directly from the timeline and then the register button.
3. Select the correct stop cause type and stop cause from the list.
4. Submit the registration
Once completed, the tile in the multi-line view will update automatically.
Managing Activities
How pending activities appear on the tiles
Each tile will display one of the following:
All activities completed
- No further action required.
X Pending activities
- There are activities waiting to be performed.
- This gives operators immediate visibility across all lines, helping them decide where to go next.
How to complete activities
1. Identify a tile showing pending activities and click the tile
This opens the Pending Activities for that specific line.
Activities are shown in order of priority.
3. Follow the instructions
Complete all required steps (checklists, numbers, text, confirmations, etc.)
4. Submit the activity
Once submitted, the tile in the multi-line view will update automatically.
Monitoring Batch Progress and Managing Batches Across Multiple Lines
What batch information looks like on the tiles
Each tile shows:
Batch Name
- The name or ID of the batch currently running on that line.
Progress Bar
- A visual indicator showing how far along the batch is (for example: 87%).
Ahead / Behind indicator
- Shows whether the line is producing faster or slower than expected.
- This helps operators quickly understand which lines might need attention to stay on target.
How to manage batches
From the multi-line tiles, you can:
1. Identify batches that are behind or have low progress
The tile helps you see issues early
2. Click the line tile
This opens the Batch Information of that line.
Inside the dialog, you can:
- Stop the current batch
- Start the next batch
- Add a new batch
- View all planned batches in the queue
These actions help operators keep the production flow moving smoothly.
Using Manual Counters
Manual Counters
Depending on the line configuration, and whether sensors are attached to the line, the tile may display:
