Blackbird supports adding energy meters as sensors to track energy consumption on lines. Multiple energy meters can be added to a line, and their consumption data will be displayed as a KPI for that Line.
Example 1
Identifying the energy consumption during stops. The red area below shows how energy consumption is still high even though the line is not running.
Example 2
View energy consumption in any timeframe. When viewing the LIVE page, try selecting the timeframe of e.g. a batch on the graph and read the “Consumed” KPI to see how much power the line has consumed during that period.
How to configure a sensor as an energy meter
- Open the line that the energy meter is attached to. Open the settings for the sensor that you have attached the energy meter to.
Note: If you do not see the sensor you have attached the energy meter to, you will need to set up a new sensor on the line in the system:
Setting up a new sensor on a line - In the “Basic Information” tab, ensure ensure the sensor type is set to “Counter”.
-
Head to the “Sensor Setup” tab, and toggle the “Energy Meter” on
-
In the “Data” tab, enter the unit that the energy meter outputs
- The energy meters data is now shown as a KPI in the line overview with the name “Consumed”
