Batch import using Excel

We have an Excel sheet where you can enter your batches and click a button, and it will automatically import the batches into Factbird. To use this, you need a batch import API key. If you have not been provided with this already, please submit a request to support, where they will be able to provide this for you.

The import sheet is attached at the end of this article.

Issues with the Batch Import sheet - batches in the sheet

If the sheet says that the upload was successful, but none or some batches from your sheet do not appear in Factbird, there could be several reasons:

  1. Some of the batches are invalid, for example, if “Expected speed” is set higher than “Validated speed”.
  2. Another batch with the same batch number already exists on the line. In that case, the existing batch will be updated instead of creating a new batch.
  3. Not all the required fields have been filled out as expected
  4. The “selection area” in the Excel file does not cover the full list of batches. See the screenshot below. You can drag the small triangle to adjust the selection.
