The easiest way to import a lot of products and batches into Factbird is through our "Bulk Edit" feature. You can either manually input new data for multiple products or batches at once or copy paste it from an existing Excel sheet. This enables transferring data from other systems that you may use as it is common to be able to export data to Excel.
Copy pasting data directly into our system is more reliable and easier than using our previously suggested Excel import sheet that relies on macros and has to establish a connection to Factbird servers.
Import Products
To import products from an Excel sheet follow these steps:
1. Navigate to the "Batches" tab on a line.
2. Click the plus button in the bottom right corner.
3. Click "Manage products".
4. Toggle "Bulk Edit" on the top right of the dialog window.
5. Paste one or multiple columns from your Excel sheet or manually input data.
Import Batches
To import batches from an Excel sheet follow these steps:
1. Navigate to the "Batches" tab on a line.
2. Click the plus button in the bottom right corner.
3. Click "Add batch".
4. Toggle "Bulk Edit" on the top right of the dialog window.
5. Paste one or multiple columns from your Excel sheet or manually input data.
Tip: Make sure that the products and packagings that you are referring to are already created in the system (otherwise create them first before importing batches that reference them).
