Using Activities

Activities can be used to standardize operations and support the workforce with digital guidance. In activities you can make standard operating procedures convenient to create, share, and update across the shopfloor.

Activities can be viewed and managed in the Activities section. Click on the + button to create a new activity.

Triggers

An Activity can have triggers attached, which are the configuration of when a certain activity is performed. The triggers can make sure an activity is performed at the right time based on certain conditions. The supported triggers are:

  • Manual
  • Every {x}minutes
  • Every {x} produced
  • Event (Batch/Shift)
  • Fixed time
  • Stop registration

Categories

Categories are optional, but a convenient way of grouping Activities into categories like Quality, Maintenance, Operation, etc. Categories can be created and modified for each company.

Location

Activities can be assigned to any level in the organization hierarchy. If an Activity is assigned to an area with multiple lines, it can be used at any of the lines in that area but not outside this area. This feature makes it convenient to have both global and local Activities.

Creating Activities

When creating an activity, the first step is to enter a name and description of the activity. We recommend using the same name as your paper version to make change management smoother.
