How to unlock a locked operator e-signature

SUMMARY

Use this guide to unlock an operator’s e-signature after a PIN lockout so they can resume signing activities.

 

 

WHEN TO USE THIS

  • Use this guide if:
    • An operator is locked out after multiple incorrect PIN attempts
    • An operator cannot sign activities due to PIN lockout

PREREQUISITES

  • Before starting:
    • You have supervisor or admin access
    • The operator is present to set a new PIN

STEPS

  1. Go to Administration
  2. Navigate to the Operators tab
  3. Select the locked operator
  4. Click Reset PIN

    Locate the Reset PIN option in the operator's profile panel.
     
  5. Hand the screen to the operator
  6. The operator reads the acknowledgement
  7. The operator checks I have read and agree to the terms of electronic signature use
  8. Click Next
  9. The operator enters a new 6-digit PIN
  10. Re-enter the PIN to confirm
  11. Take back the screen
  12. Review and certify the operator’s identity
  13. Check I certify that I have verified the identity of this person
  14. Click Done

EXPECTED RESULT

  • After completing these steps:
    • The operator’s e-signature is unlocked
    • The operator can sign activities again
    • The lockout and reset actions are recorded in the audit log

TROUBLESHOOTING

  • Issue: Reset PIN option not visible
    • Try: Confirm the operator is selected from the Operators list
    • Try: Refresh the page and reopen the profile
  • Issue: Operator still cannot sign after reset
    • Try: Confirm the reset process was completed بالكامل
    • Try: Ensure the operator is entering the correct new PIN
