SUMMARY
Use this guide to send or receive files larger than 36 MB by sharing them through OneDrive instead of email.
WHEN TO USE THIS
Use this guide if:
- Your file exceeds the 36 MB email limit
- You need to securely send or receive large files with Factbird Support or other users
PREREQUISITES
Before starting:
- You have access to OneDrive
- You have the files ready to upload
STEPS
- Open OneDrive
- Create a new folder
- Upload or copy the files you want to share into the folder
- Right-click the folder and select Share
- Enter the email addresses of the people you want to share the files with
- Set permissions:
- Select Can view if you are sending files
- Select Can edit if you want others to upload files
- Click Send
- After file sharing is complete, delete the folder
EXPECTED RESULT
After completing these steps:
- The recipient can access the shared folder
- Files can be viewed or uploaded depending on permissions
TROUBLESHOOTING
Issue: Recipient cannot access the folder
- Try: Checking that the correct email address was used
- Try: Verifying the sharing permissions
Issue: Files cannot be uploaded by recipient
- Try: Ensuring permission is set to Can edit
- Try: Resharing the folder with updated permissions
