How to create a report using AI

Use this guide to create a production report with AI in Report Builder. AI can generate a report based on your instructions, which you can then refine, customize, and save.

 

 

WHEN TO USE THIS

  • Use this guide if:
    • You want AI to generate a production report.
    • You want to quickly create a report without manually adding widgets.

PREREQUISITES

  • Before starting:
    • You have access to the Reports page.
    • You have permission to create reports.

STEPS

  1. Navigate to the Reports page.
  2. Click Create Report.
  3. Select Build with AI.
  4. Enter a description of the report you want to create (for example, "A shift report for last week").
  5. Click Generate.
  6. Review the AI-generated report.
  7. To modify the report, click Build with AI again, update your prompt, and click Generate.
  8. To customize individual widgets, select the Edit icon on the widget and make the required changes.
  9. Rearrange widgets by dragging and dropping them into the desired layout.
  10. Click Save to save the completed report.

EXPECTED RESULT

  • After completing these steps:
    • An AI-generated production report is created.
    • The report can be edited and customized before saving.
    • The saved report is available from the Reports page.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Issue: The generated report does not contain the information you expected.

  • Try: Provide a more specific prompt describing the report you want.
  • Try: Generate the report again using updated instructions.

Issue: A widget needs additional configuration.

  • Try: Edit the individual widget and adjust its settings.
  • Try: Save the widget after making your changes.
