How to create a report

SUMMARY

Use this guide to create a production report in Factbird using widgets such as KPIs, gauges, charts, and tables. Reports help you organize and visualize production data for analysis and sharing.

 

 

WHEN TO USE THIS

  • Use this guide if:
    • You want to create a new production report in Factbird
    • You need to visualize production metrics using widgets
    • You want to compare production data across lines, directories, or time periods

PREREQUISITES

  • Before starting:
    • You must have access to the Insights section in Factbird
    • You must have access to production data, directories, or lines you want to include

STEPS

  1. Open the main navigation menu and select Insights.
     
  2. Click the Reports tab.
     
  3. Click the Plus button to create a new report.
     
  4. Enter a name for the report.
     
  5. Click either Add Widget button.
     
  6. Select a widget type:
    • KPI
    • Gauge
    • Bar
    • Table
       
  7. Choose the data source for the widget.
     
  8. Select the directories and lines to include.
     
  9. Configure the time range:
    • Select a custom date range
    • Choose a relative period such as last day or last week
    • Or select a specific batch
       
  10. Click Apply.
     
  11. Configure the widget settings based on the selected widget type:
     
    • For a KPI widget:
      • Select the desired metric
      • Click Create
         
    • For a Gauge widget:
      • Select the metric
      • Optional: Enable Target
      • Enter a target value
      • Click Create
         
    • For a Bar widget:
      • Select the metric
      • Optional: Enable Target
      • Set target, medium, and bad value thresholds
      • Optional: Group data by a category such as Stop Cause
      • Optional: Limit displayed bars using Maximum Bars
      • Click Create
         
    • For a Table widget:
      • Select Multiple Metrics
      • Choose the metrics to include
      • Click Create
         
  12. Repeat the process to add additional widgets to the report.
     
  13. Drag and drop widgets to rearrange or resize the layout.
     
  14. Click Save.
     

EXPECTED RESULT

  • After completing these steps:
    • Your report is saved under Private Reports
    • The report displays the selected widgets and production data
    • You can filter the report by time or location
       

TROUBLESHOOTING

Issue: Widgets do not display data

  • Try: Verify that the selected directories and lines contain production data 
  • Try: Check that the selected time range includes available data
     

Issue: Unable to save the report

  • Try: Confirm that the report has a name
  • Try: Refresh the page and try saving again
     

Issue: Threshold colors do not appear in bar charts

  • Try: Verify that target, medium, and bad thresholds are configured
  • Try: Check that the metric supports threshold visualization
