How to distribute a company report

SUMMARY

Use this guide to distribute a company report in Factbird so it becomes accessible to users in Factory Overview or Line views. Distributed reports allow teams to view standardized production data based on their assigned locations or lines.

 

 

WHEN TO USE THIS

  • Use this guide if:
    • You want to share a report with other users
    • You need a report to appear in Factory Overview or Line views
    • You want location-based access control for reports

PREREQUISITES

  • Before starting:
    • You must have an existing private report
    • You must have permission to create company reports
    • You must have access to the locations or lines you want to distribute the report to

STEPS

  1. Open the Reports tab in Factbird.
  2. Select one of your existing Company Reports.
  3. Click on the Distribute button. 
  4. Enable the Distribute Report toggle.
  5. Choose where the report should be available:
    • Select Directories to display the report in Factory Overview
    • Select Lines to display the report in Line views
  6. Select the directories or lines where the report should appear.
  7. Open the corresponding Factory Overview or Line Detail View to verify the report is visible.
     

EXPECTED RESULT

  • After completing these steps:
    • The company report is available to authorized users
    • The report appears in the selected Factory Overview or Line views
    • Users see data relevant to their selected line or location
       

TROUBLESHOOTING

 

Issue: Users cannot see the report

  • Try: Verify the report has distribution enabled
  • Try: Confirm the user has permission for the assigned location
     

Issue: The report does not appear in the expected view

  • Try: Check whether the report was distributed to Directories or Lines
  • Try: Confirm the correct lines or directories were selected
     

Issue: Changes to the report are not visible

  • Try: Click Save after editing the report
  • Try: Refresh the page and reopen the report
