Why does the previous bottleneck sensor disappear when I change it?

ANSWER

  • A production line can only have one bottleneck sensor configured at a time. When you assign a new bottleneck sensor, the previous sensor is automatically removed from that role.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • The bottleneck sensor determines the reference point used for performance calculations.
  • Changing the bottleneck sensor replaces the previous configuration rather than creating multiple bottleneck sensors.

LIMITATIONS (if applicable)

  • Only one bottleneck sensor can be configured per production line.
  • Changing the bottleneck sensor affects future calculations.
  • Historical production data is preserved.

This is expected behaviour as you can only have one bottleneck sensor on a line at a time, so if you change it, it would essentially remove the previous one from the bottleneck list. If you still would like to use the sensor on the line in another capacity, be sure to make sure you add this back to the line.
