SUMMARY
Use this guide to configure scrap reasons for a manual scrap counter. Scrap reasons allow operators to specify why products were scrapped when recording scrap during production.
WHEN TO USE THIS
- Use this guide if:
- You want operators to record different scrap reasons.
- You want to categorize manual scrap.
PREREQUISITES
- Before starting:
- A virtual device has been configured.
- A manual scrap counter has already been added to the line.
- You have permission to edit line settings.
STEPS
- Open the virtual device.
- Create an additional scrap sensor for each scrap reason you want to record.
- Give each sensor a meaningful name.
- Add each sensor to the production line as a Scrap sensor in the line settings.
- Save the line configuration.
EXPECTED RESULT
- After completing these steps:
- Operators are prompted to choose a scrap reason when recording scrap.
- Each scrap sensor appears as a separate scrap reason.
- The sensor name is displayed as the scrap reason.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Issue: The scrap reason is not displayed.
- Try: Verify the sensor has been added to the line as a Scrap sensor.
- Try: Confirm the line configuration has been saved.
Issue: The wrong scrap reason is displayed.
- Try: Rename the corresponding scrap sensor.
- Try: Refresh the page after saving the changes.
