Troubleshooting
-
Issue: Device does not connect to Wi-Fi
- Try: Verify the SSID and password are entered correctly (check uppercase/lowercase, special characters, and spaces)
-
Try: Move the device closer to the Wi-Fi router
-
Issue: Device cannot access the internet
- Try: Confirm the Factbird device MAC address is added to your firewall "allowlist" or "whitelist" (if you have a firewall set up)
-
Try: Ensure required domains and ports are whitelisted on your network
- The MAC address can be found on the device label (Factbird DUO)
- Once added to the whitelist, proceed with Step 1 in this article
- For more information about whitelisting domains and ports when using your own network, see the related article linked at the bottom of this page.
-
Issue: Wi-Fi settings cannot be applied
Try: Connect the device to the cellular network (this is the default setting) first. The device cannot be connected to Wi-Fi unless it is first connected to the cellular network.
-
Issue: Wi-Fi tab is missing
Try: Confirm the device model supports Wi-Fi
Try: Contact Support to verify device compatibility
