Line & Sensor KPIs

SUMMARY

  • Use Line & Sensor KPIs to monitor key production metrics directly from the Live page. KPIs are calculated for the selected time range and can be configured to display the metrics most relevant to each production line.

WHAT THIS IS

  • Line & Sensor KPIs are production metrics displayed below the production chart on the Live page for lines and sensors.
  • These KPIs provide a quick overview of production performance based on the currently selected time range. To understand them in more detail, view a deep dive into each one here
  • Each production line can have its own KPI configuration, allowing different lines to display different sets of KPIs. Analog sensors also support configurable KPI visibility.

WHY IT MATTERS

  • KPIs provide immediate visibility into production performance without leaving the Live page.
  • Configuring the most relevant KPIs helps operators and supervisors focus on the information that matters most for each production line.
  • Different KPI configurations can be applied to different lines to support varying production processes.

WHEN YOU WOULD USE THIS

  • Use this when:
    • Monitoring production performance from the Live page.
    • Comparing production metrics over a selected time period.
    • Customizing which KPIs are visible for a production line.
    • Configuring KPI visibility for analog sensors.

HOW IT WORKS

  • KPIs are calculated using the time range currently selected on the production chart.
  • The Display Options menu controls which KPIs are shown on the Live page.
  • KPI visibility is configured separately for each production line, allowing different lines to display different metrics.
  • Changes to KPI visibility apply to all users viewing that production line—they are not personal user preferences.

KEY TERMS / COMPONENTS

Live Page

  • The page where production charts and KPIs are displayed for lines and sensors.

Production Chart

  • The chart used to select the time range from which KPI values are calculated.

Display Options

  • The settings used to control which KPIs are displayed for a specific production line.

Analog Sensor

  • A sensor type that also supports configurable KPI visibility.

COMMON MISUNDERSTANDINGS

  • KPI visibility is not a user-specific preference. Changes apply to all users viewing the selected production line.
  • Changing the KPI configuration for one line does not affect other production lines.
  • KPI values are calculated using the currently selected time range on the production chart.
