Data Override

Many of our customers find themselves in a position where line cleaning or wrongfully placed sensors is resulting in bad data. Previously, this bad data would affect your OEE and statistics, and often users had to correct the data by manually extracting the data from Factbird and manipulating it in Excel. Now you can manipulate your data in Factbird to get rid of these spikes or missing data. To use this new feature, navigate to the Sensor tab of a line. Here you will see a new blue button named "Override". Click this button to open the Override dialogue.

The create dialogue will now show you the time range in which the override will take effect. You will need to enter the value of produced during the total time range selected. If you enter a value of 0, there will be a stop. Initials of the person performing the override and a comment on the reason are mandatory.

⚠️ The value is replacing the counted value by the sensor. Any data multiplier is being applied as normal within that period.

The result is a plot band on the data chart which illustrates a data override.

There may be occasions after the fact where you realise that you would like to edit a stop, which is also a data override, and would display a message such as the following:

In order to be able to split the stop, you need to navigate back to the live tab and click on the data override (highlighted in red).

Once clicked on, you will be presented with another screen asking you to update the override. You simply need to select remove override in the bottom left, and this will allow you to edit the stop.

It is important to note that by removing an override, this may skew your data, as it will show the original value that you initially overrode.
