Setting up a new sensor on a line

The following explains how to add a new sensor to a line.

For a sensor to appear on a line, it first needs to be set up on the device. After this is done, it will need to be attached to the desired line.

How to add a new sensor to a line

2. Click on the devices tab

3. Select the device you have connected your new sensor to

4. Click the add sensor button

5. Select the port the sensor is connected to, and fill out the form with information for that sensor

Note: Here “group” means what groups of users have access to see/modify this sensors data.

 

6. Go to the Lines overview and open “Line Settings” for the line you want to attach the new sensor to.

7. Select the sensor you want to connect to the line in the two selection boxes.

  • Box 1: Bottleneck sensor / main sensor. The system will use the sensor selected in this box for counting production cycles on the line. This is also called the “Main sensor” in the system.

  • Box 2: Secondary sensors: The second box will let you add one or more additional sensors. This could e.g. be an energy meter that it attached to the line (see image below)
